UFCW Western States Council Hosts Annual LLS Fundraiser

For more than 30 years, the UFCW has partnered with The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (LLS) in the battle to end blood cancers.

Collectively, we have raised over $83 million to support LLS’s efforts to invest in research to advance lifesaving treatments and cures and to provide free information and support services to blood cancer patients and their families around the world.

On Wednesday, September 20th, UFCW Western States Council held their Annual Leukemia Lymphoma Fundraiser in Phoenix, Arizona. The UFCW raises funds for this important work through its successful charity golf tournaments, auctions, bottle drives and a range of other events.

The UFCW staff, local union leadership, and rank and file members also participate in LLS fundraising campaigns like the Light the Night Walk and Team in Training. Together, with this special partnership, LLS and the UFCW are truly helping blood cancer patients live better, longer lives.

Participate in Light the Night

We encourage everyone involved in Labor Against Cancer to attend or consider forming walk teams for their local Light the Night. All Labor Against Cancer efforts will be celebrated at each Light the Night event.

Light the Night is an evening community event that celebrates those who are fighting, honors those we have lost, and raises funds to cure blood cancers once and for all. These events are perfect for families, friends, and coworkers to attend together.
