Sacramento, CA – Today the United Food and Commercial Workers (UFCW) Western States Council announced that the 180,000 UFCW members in California have endorsed Michelle Rodriguez for State Assembly District 53.
“The decisions Californians make at the ballot box next week have increasingly far-reaching effects on the lives of working people,” said Mark Ramos, president, UFCW Western States Council and UFCW Local 1428. “Working families’ futures are at stake in this election. The wages, good jobs, healthcare and safety workers need on the job must be protected. That’s why the working people of UFCW have endorsed Michelle Rodriguez for AD 53. Michelle will ensure our communities are safe, workers have dignity on the job and working people can thrive.”
