Sacramento, CA – Today, the United Food and Commercial Workers (UFCW) Western States Council applauded the California State Senate for passing AB 8 (Aguiar-Curry). AB 8 provides a comprehensive and urgently needed solution to protect consumers and support California’s legal cannabis industry. AB 8 will expand on those protections for consumers, strengthen regulatory enforcement, support industry sustainability, and restore essential cannabis tax revenue.
