UFCW Western States Council Endorses Attorney General Xavier Becerra for Re-Election

LOS ANGELES – The United Food and Commercial Workers (UFCW) Western States Council today announced endorsing Xavier Beccera for re-election as California’s Attorney General.

UFCW Local 8 President Jacques Loveall, “From fighting to protect our health care to standing up for immigrant communities, Attorney General Xavier Becerra has shown California’s workers that he knows what’s right and even more importantly — he’s willing to fight for it.”

Andrea Zinder, Secretary-Treasurer, UFCW Local 324,“As workers are facing unprecedented new threats to their security in a global economy and from an anti-worker federal administration, UFCW members are standing with leaders who support our right to organize for a stronger voice at work.  We know we can count on Attorney General Becerra to protect workers’ voices and the strength we have in unity with our brothers and sisters.”

The United Food and Commercial Workers Western States Council is the regional coordinating body of 11 UFCW local unions representing over 200,000 workers in California, Arizona, Nevada, and Utah. The Council is a part of the 1.2 million-member strong UFCW International Union. UFCW members are standing together to improve the lives of workers, families, and communities.
