Sacramento, CA – Today, the United Food and Commercial Workers (UFCW) Western States Council applauded Proposition 50’s overwhelming victory at the polls. With Prop. 50, California will protect healthcare for working people, good wages and jobs, pensions and more. “Today UFCW members and the voters of California stood up and told the Trump administration and Texas Republicans that they wouldn’t stand by while they try to rig the 2026 midterm elections. They saw that Trump’s actions in only ten months have reversed decades of progress for working families, and if left unchecked, would only push working people back farther. Health care, grocery prices, wages, good jobs and pensions were at stake this election, and we’re proud that UFCW members answered the call to protect democracy.”
